Another Record Breaking Year!

Way to go Gobble Gaiters.... you ROCK!  

Thanks to all of the participants, volunteer and, of course, our generous sponsors Gobble Gait 2012 was another record breaking year!  We had over 3300 runners/walkers in the 2K and 8K combined, and raised over $95,000 for Hastings Family Service!  How awesome is that?!

Race Day Registration

Yes!  You can register tomorrow beginning at 7:00 am!  Keep in mind that we already have a RECORD number of participants, which is awesome in about a million different ways... but as a result, you might want to allow a little extra time to get downtown and situated before the race begins!

• 8K Begins at 8:30 AM
• 2K Begins immediately following 8K!

The registration tent will be located right next to Hastings Family Service at the end of Ramsey Street!  Click here for map!

Keep in mind that if you are running the 2K, we don't want you lining up until the 8K participants have cleared the start!

Spirits will be flowing before, during and after Gobble Gait 2011!  So go ahead and work up a thirst!  The Bars and Restaurants in Downtown Hastings will be open for business, and they'd like you to stop in and say hello!  Check out what you can expect to find on the big day!

OK folks... we've hit the home stretch!  Time is running out for Gobble Gait 2012 Pre-Registration!  So if you haven't already done so... get to it!!!

Here are the deadlines and other important information to know before the race!

Registration:

 
Online Registration closes at 11:59 pm Tuesday, November 20.
Paper Pre-Registration closes at NOON on Wednesday, November 21.  Completed race forms must be turned in to MDK Design for Hair at that point.

After that point, 8K registration goes up to $35 per runner.

Packet Party Pick-Up goes from 4-9 pm at The Onion Grille.

Race Day Registration goes from 7-8:30 am at the Race Day Registration Tent, located at the end of Ramsey Street between Hastings Family Service and Hastings Beauty College.

Yay! Pets are IN!

Hey folks! Sorry for the confusion... we misinterpreted some direction from law enforcement folks regarding our pet policy.  There is no ordinance, and pets will be allowed at Gobble Gait 2012.  Awesome... right?!

That said, the issue was raised because there have been some incidences that were a cause for concern, and we just want to ensure the safety of the runners, volunteers and spectators.

Well behaved pets, on leashes, are welcome to join us on Thanksgiving Morning!

Robert Robinson at Gobble Gait 2012!

As you may know, it's the 15th Anniversary of Gobble Gait!  We've been blessed with a great turnout, positive energy and amazing support from the community; we want to CELEBRATE!  With that in mind, we're pleased to announce we have a VERY SPECIAL guest that will be joining us on Thanksgiving Morning to kick things off!

"Minnesota's Master Male Vocalist" Robert Robinson will be singing the National Anthem!

Robert has performed with Aretha Franklin, nine-time Grammy Award winner, Andrae Crouch, Kenny Loggins, the Sounds of Blackness, Bobby McFerrin, Barry Manilow, Jermaine Jackson, and many others!  He's served as Executive and Artistic Director of the Twin Cities Community Gospel Choir for 20 years, was a two time Minnesota Music Award Winner for Best Gospel Artist and Group, plus was voted as the Best Male Vocalist by City Pages!  Wow!

An amazing voice... for a fantastic community... supporting a great cause!  A fitting way to begin the funnest day of the year!
